Family Adventures in Upstate New York

I'm happy to release our first family adventure style vlog since moving to Upstate New York from Los Angeles.

We decided to visit the Ithaca Farmers Market to grab some coffee and let the kids chill by the lake. We grabbed some ice cream - and then walked across a bridge overlooking a beautiful waterfall.

Side Note: I shot everything at the farmers market and ice cream shop on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I wasn't intending to use that over my Canon 80D, but it was raining, so I thought I would try it out. (I shot the footage on the bridge on my 80D since I ran out of space on my phone!!!) But I am so impressed with how good the iPhone footage held up. I am also impressed with how good the audio sounded. I've known that it shoots great footage, but this was a good - forced pivot to using it that proved it's value once again. And since I hope to shoot more of these, the only way that's possible is by removing all barriers to picking up a camera and shooting. Sometimes a capable phone is all that will be needed.
