Fatherhood and Coffee - Intentions for 2021
Hello and welcome to the crazy beginnings of a New Year. The past week or so has made it hard to get anything done or stay focused. So yeah…here we go.
I am sharing the video above that outlines my intentions for Americano Mondays in 2021. The video is focused on the YouTube channel but will apply to the website as well. (If you haven’t already, please do SUBSCRIBE)
Due to the ongoing pandemic and our move to Upstate New York, it has become challenging to document coffee culture as I have previously done. For the foreseeable future, things may look a bit different around here.
If you have followed Americano Mondays for any length of time, you should be familiar with my ongoing series, Coffee Adventures with Dad. The videos feature my children and I spending time together drinking coffee and having fun while sharing our little adventures with everyone.
Cut to 2021, and my wife and I are with our children non stop. Our daughter attends school virtually from our living room. Our three-year-old son parties non-stop and my wife works from home now.
I see 2021 as a year to challenge myself to create as much as possible from home. Here's a quick breakdown of what to expect:
More unboxing videos. I had a great time making my last one for the YESPLZ Coffee X Dad Grass collaboration. Thankfully, I already have more shot and planned.
More Coffee Adventures with Dad style films.
A video series with some candid thoughts about being a parent during a pandemic. Just me - a cup of coffee and some freakin' truth about the highs and lows of being a father.
Brewing videos - I would like to experiment with some ideas I have for this - so we'll see how it goes. (I feel it's time to truly step up my coffee game, so this would put that to the challenge)
More writing on the website. I feel that I have surrendered partial ownership of Americano Mondays to social media sites. It's time to reclaim my domain. I know...blogging in 2021 may not be the trend, but I'm cool with that.
Lastly, I am going to allow myself the freedom to explore new mediums - directions. If there was ever a time to step back and reflect - try new things - now is that time. Thank you to everyone who has followed along over the past eight plus years. I am truly honored. Jeff.
